hi @TravellerG
I have never known about Bindi philosphy, and what it means.
Now I know.
Thank you for sharing this information, and you bring it on separate post, so I can enjoy reading and learn.
Hvala Google prevoditelju i ja zaista uživam ovdje.
I sretna sam što sam djelić ove sjajne zajednice
@TravellerG You are so knowledgeable in so many different things. Thank you for letting me know the dots are to be reapplied daily. That is interesting too that some dots are applied after rituals. I love learning with you.
Hello @TravellerG
A very informative post, your article and its idea are greatly appreciated.
Firstly let me thank you for your kind involvement by publishing the beautiful photo - yes birth the Bindis and your Sindur are clear - great.
“… we consider kumkum tilak on the head between patrician of hair, not on our head…”
India is a very large country and the localisation of customs is always a point.
As you are aware, I have tried to handle this complicated topic in a simpler way for the mass… Otherwise, technically, there are many more details to bring out.
Once again thank you for your kind compliments and feedback.
Best wishes, my dear @Tejal
“… I never forget anything those dear to me tell me…”
Absolutely right… We all admire your memory.
And
One more point… If you carefully watch you can see Sindur on @Tejal (a red round made with the tip of the finger), close to the partition of her hair … Right?
Best wishes, very dear @Ewaade_3A
Thank you so much for understanding my words we are…
Means in our cast in Gujarat.
India has many states and all are following little different methods to celebrate functions.
Regards Tejal Chhaya
Wow… dear friend @OliverKIWI ,
The lens types are same but, I’m with Sony; additionally for Wildlife, I use 150 - 600mm (5 - 6.3) Sigma (of course, quite heavy.
I’m sure you will be using some 50mm Prime too, right?
Thanks for your kind response.
Best wishes…

Thank you @TravellerG I have been to India before. That was 1997. I went to Dehli, Agra, and Jaipur. I was not a photographer at that time. I only had a Konica point-and-shoot camera. And I am sure a lot has changed ever since. I am sure I will go again:) Take care and cya!
Hvala vam gospodine @TravellerG
Ja sam pokrenula ovu temu o Bindi i sada mi je izuzetno drago zbog toga.
Mogu zadovoljiti svoju znatiželju , a puno toga zanimljivog i korisnoga naučiti o dalekoj Indiji.
Kao i ostali lokalni vodiči…
Interesting post indeed @TravellerG … You know what, there are times in my younger days when I did wear bindi to some special occasion. I didn’t fully understand the meaning of it but I do understand how special and beautiful it is. Thanks to your article, we know and respect more of this wonderful tradition. Interesting to know that some men wear it as well.
“… that quote I heard from Lord Of The Ring Movie…”
Oh… I see…
Thanks… That is great, dear @Ddimitra
