India gate has its own food court- Aharika- the food of Bihar

Who all love Litti Chokha? I definitely do. This is a litti chokha thali being prepared with 4 Kurtis, chokha, sarson ki chutney and sweet like inarsa etc. they also have a delicious healthier sattu parantha & sattu drink.

Mr Littiwala is the brand name. Shop name - Aharika. Shop no S4 in the food court of India Gate is their latest outlet. Owner is Mr Devendra Kumar Singh. Quite hardworking and focused. He gives good taste of authentic Bihar. I met him the first time 6 years ago when he had put up a stall in Trade Fair in Pragati Maidan.

India gate now has its own food court with diverse regional cuisines from 8-10 states. Like Bihar, Hyderabad, Kerala, Assam, Tamil Nadu etc. The food court is located in the underpass at India Gate. Nice casual street side ambience. Open air space. There are overhead umbrellas & tables where you can stand and eat.

Washrooms are available in the premises.

@Shalz. Lovely share. I come from Benaras and litti chokha is a favourite food back there. In Indirapuram and Noida there are many small joints who sell litti chokhas. Just reading and writing about them is making me hungry

@curatorofmemory you come from a lovely place.. I have been to Banaras years back ..wahan ki mitti ki khushboo hi alag hai ..sondhi si  I tried litti chokha there but I don’t remember the name of this famous restaurant now..

I tried some wonderful litti chokha in Ranchi when I visited there officially. There was this old baba who used to make it and he told me that he had put up a stall of litti chokha in Shri Laloo Prasad Yadav’s daughter’s marriage.

And yes I have tried a lot of litti chokha while travelling to work and back Delhi to Noida. There were so many carts in sec 62, 16 etc. I used to get packed for home too.

And not to mention I recently made litti chokha at home and it was quite tasty. Litti in convection and even in appe pan and chokha I made of aloo, brinjal & tomato
