I want to tell everyone looking for a idyllic location for photography opportunities and for a chance to just get outdoors and relax, in a beautiful location that is a hidden gem. Oklahoma’s state parks are some of the most pristine in the United States. I am fortunate to live close to one of the best. Sequoyah State Park, Hulbert, Oklahoma.
This park offers something for everyone. Be it hiking, biking, swimming, fishing (from the bank or your boat) horse back riding, golf at one of the best in the state. I mean the list goes on and on.
You can rent a paddle boat or pontoon boat at Paradise Marina. There is also a new feature at the lake that I saw the other day, a kiosk that you can rent a kayak at.
The Sequoyah Lodge is located at the end of the main road, and the Foggy Bottom Restaurant is located at the lodge. You’ll pass the golf course, the riding stable’s, and the Nature Center, which is a must.
This lake holds a lot of fun as well as it’s beauty.
There is an abundance of wildlife like deer and bald eagles, and pelicans.
You just need to take a break from our insane world and come check this park out.
You can camp in tents, rv camp or stay at the lodge. There are plenty of clean restrooms, and you’ll find a grill and fire ring, right at your site. Your going to want to stay for a bit, I guarantee!
Be prepared for gorgeous sunrise and sunsets too.
Just come on down and visit us, right here in Oklahoma.
