The water looks so relaxing and inviting @pivari if it wasn’t a picture I would go for a swim in it now. I have been to the city of Trapani. It’s a unique place to visit

With this current heatwave European summer it looks like a very nice place to chill @pivari

Hello @pivari ,

What a crystal clear water! Thank you for sharing it with us.

I’ve always said it, and will always repeat it, Italy is the best option ever - bellissima!

Do you go there often? It looks as if the place is a bit savage, is it really the case?

This place is near San Vito Lo Capo and Erice. @Arubaguy1843 , have you visit them?

@AdamGT You are right. Here there is dry heat without humidity and in the evening it refreshes. It’s simple to sleep.

@BorrisS , Italy is long and I live in the north :frowning:
In the north of Italy the sea is usually not so beautifull.
The area of the photo is a special area because it’s near “Riserva dello Zingaro”, a protected area very very nice.

Yes @pivari I visited these places when I was in Italy and traveling by train throughout this beautiful country.

Hi @pivari ,

This is actually one of the best places to visit if you go close to Trapani. Was it the first time for you there? Did some of the local advise you about this beach or you find it advertised somewhere? Sicily is one of the best region to go seaside in Italy, especially if you like more naturalitic sites along with Sardinia and Apulia. Best time to go there, in my opinion, is September, especially because close to Trapani there is an amazing couscous festival. When have you been there?

@Arubaguy1843 I like travel by train but the train is not the best way to visit Sicily. It is slow and not very used. Probably the only solution is to rent a car.

@Sorbe I’m here in Alcamo (Sicily) now. 10 year ago I was at San Vito Lo Capo, too.
San Vito Lo Capo is probably the most famous seaside in Sicily.

I don’t know in this case if I have to thank you or just being super envy about this @pivari .

Jokes aside, how is the situation in S. Vito? Are there many people or the place hasn’t been invaded by masses of tourists yet?

Sorbe You don’t have to go to San Vito Lo Capo during the weekend! It’s full.
Near you have a lot of other possibilities.
This is Cala Bianca. Is it good?

It’s not good @pivari , I would say that is more than good!

I fell in love years ago with Cala Rossa in Favignana, and I hope one day to go back there once again. Did you have the chance to visit the island?

@Sorbe it’s not simple but I’ll try. Alcamo is 1 hour to Trapani and then another 1 hour to the island. Also we are 5 and it’s not so cheap.

Hi @pivari ,

I know it’s quite of a challenge, especially because it’s high season and the prices are not so affordable. In alternative, if you want to visit another cool place why not trying with Mount Erice? It would be ideal if you have a car to be fully independent, but I think they are also buses that are going there.

@Sorbe Have you visit Gibellina and Il Cretto di Burri?
