Manchester Local Guides are hosting a small group of London Local Guides - what better opportunity to meet with each other and socialise over a meal, some drinks, and good times.

Everyone is welcome, but please message me to book a place or the table will overflow. (Limit 12). We’d love you to come and meet the friendly faces of Local Guides from Manchester, get to know us, and the kind of things we do to support our contributions to Google Maps.

Where: The Allotment Vegan and Vegetarian Bar and Restaurant, Cathedral Gates, Manchester, M3 1SW

Transport Links: The bar/restaurant is a short walk from Victoria Railway Station and an even shorter walk from Exchange Square Tram Stop

When: Friday 10th July, 7:30pm

What to Wear: Totally casual

Expenses: We will each cover the cost of what we eat and drink ourselves.

We would really like to meet both new and experience Local Guides in the Manchester area and hope you can come along.

I’m going to miss your meet-up literally by a couple days. I’m flying in the night of the 5th into Manchester airport, and flying to the IOM on the morning of the 6th.
If I’d thought to check in advance before I booked all the airfare home a couple weeks ago, I could’ve made this! I’m finally heading home for the full summer… after traveling mon-stop since November 2025. SO, if you find yourself heading my way this summer, hit me up - I’ll be straight there until September. (I think).

Such a shame @TheRealKristin - next time you plan to pass through Manchester, let me know in advance and we can do a similar thing! Meanwhile I’ll start planning my trip to IOM!

I’ll have to figure out a way to schedule something far enough in advance during a time of the year when everything on the island is still up and running, but quiet enough for actual accommodation being available. Only downside to the beautiful summer here: so many activities going on that there’s nowhere available at a reasonable price for anyone to stay! LOL.

I’ve made an exception this time and adjusted the date to July 10th, per your request! Please note that Local Guides who previously RSVP-ed will need to redo the process, as the meet-up details have been updated.
