In-Person Meetings and Google Map Updates in Delhi in February 2025

Hello Local Guides,

I was in Delhi for 12 days in February 2025. During this time, I did a Delhi Darshan tour after a gap of 5 years. I visited many important places in Delhi, including Delhi Hat INA, Delhi AIIMS, and other historical places. During this trip, I updated Google Map and also had in-person meetings with some important business owners.

However, I did not include these meetings in Local Guides Connect meetups, as many of my previous meetups were not approved by Google Local Guides. Still, in this post I am sharing all my Google Map updates

Delhi Hat INA:

Added new information of shops and stalls.

Updated prices, opening hours, and information on available products.

Delhi AIIMS & sufderjang

Updated information on various departments of AIIMS, availability of doctors, and facilities (parking, canteen, toilets).

Shared the correct status and timings of historical monuments, parks, and public facilities.

Roads and transportation

Updated details about restaurants, shops, and services.

Facilities

Added information on availability of public facilities like toilets, drinking water, and parking.

Uploaded photos and videos to show the actual status of various places.

Gave reviews and ratings of places based on personal experience.

Answered many of the queries of users and resolved their doubts.

Other minor updates

Made minor corrections and added information on new places so that users can get the right directions.

Hopefully these updates will be useful for everyone.

Did you meet local guides in Delhi?

If we follow a proper process and fill up the meetup Form, the meetups get approved in time.

Did you raise the issues related to your meetups on Connect?

@TusharSuradkar Sir, I did not meet any local guides in Delhi. Due to this, I only met with my friends and business owners. People I know in Delhi were not even aware of the Local Guides program.
Did you raise the issues related to your meetups on Connect?
The meetup moderator sent me a message but did not give me a satisfactory answer regarding the reason for not approving my meetup. They only told me that hybrid and in-person meetups were the only options.
This trip was not planned in advance and was suddenly scheduled on January 24th. Hence, I could not add it to the Local Guides Connect meetup.
