[In-Person] Malaysia, March 07, Exploring the Merdeka 118, the second tallest building in the world, and Ramadan Bazaar at the National Stadium

Malaysia is well known by our Petronas Twin Towers (tallest twin-buildings in the world at 451.9 meters). It’s probably less widely known that the new Merdeka 118 building in Malaysia which is nearing completion is the world’s second tallest building (at 679 meters, after the Burj Khalifa in Dubai at 829 meters).

Recently the new Merdeka 118 building has become accessible to visitors on the ground floor and the surrounding area, which includes the Independence stadium adjoining (Stadium Merdeka), and it’s also during this Ramadan month that a Ramadan bazaar is being held around the stadium, giving a visit access to the stadium grounds. It’s such a great opportunity to visit and access both places for photography for Google Maps, checking out accessibility facilities, visit the Ramadan bazaar and break fast together in the stadium itself!

Date: 7th March (Saturday)
Time to meet: 6pm.
How to get there: MRT station (Merdeka) or Monorail station (Maharajalela)
Rough itinerary: Arrive, visit and explore the Merdeka 118, then visit the Ramadan bazaar around the stadium, buy food and break fast, sitting inside the stadium grounds.

Note: Expenses are not included, self-paid. No charges for visiting either the Merdeka 118 or the Stadium Merdeka.
