Hi everyone,
I’m happy to announce the Accessible Bengaluru Metro Meet-up, part of my ongoing journey to look at public spaces through the lens of accessibility.
This will be the sixth meet-up in my Accessible Metro Series, and Bengaluru becomes the fifth city after Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, and Delhi. Each metro has told a different story, and I’m really looking forward to seeing how Bengaluru’s Namma Metro shapes up in terms of accessibility.
Since many of us will already be together for Connect Live Bengaluru, I thought it would be the perfect chance to combine both the spirit of the event and our mission of inclusivity.
Meeting Point: Hoodi Metro Station.
Date & Time: September 18, 2025, at 8:30 PM (right after the opening day of Connect Live).
We’ll take a simple walk-and-observe approach—looking at entry and exit points, lifts, ramps, tactile paths, ticketing counters, signage, and restrooms. It is nothing formal, just real conversations and honest observations as we explore together.
If you’re around, I’d love for you to join. It’ll be a relaxed way to wrap up the day, share our thoughts, and add one more city to the growing Accessible Metro journey.
