I’m excited to share with you our upcoming initiative: The Cambodia Digital Sovereignty Initiative.
Event Title: Reclaiming Our Digital Space: Community Report Launch Date: Saturday, 6 September 2025 Time: 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM Venue: Invitation Only, DM if you are interested in this. Participants: 30 max
This event will launch our community research report on Google Maps quality in Cambodia. Our findings cover 18 provinces, highlighting issues like missing landmarks, inaccurate information, and weak business representation that affect tourism, commerce, and our country’s digital identity.
Agenda Highlights:
Research presentation: “Mapping Cambodia: Our Digital Territory”
Demonstration of tools & methods for map improvement
Community discussion and action planning
Why it matters:
Better maps help local businesses and tourism
Stronger digital presence for Cambodia
Building community capacity to protect and improve our digital space
We’re keeping this launch event small and focused (30 participants) to ensure quality discussions and actionable outcomes.
If you’re in Cambodia and passionate about digital literacy, Google Maps, and community impact, we’d love to have you join us.
This is part of our ongoing effort to build a sustainable model for digital territory protection—and we hope it inspires other communities too.

Thank you, @MortenCopenhagen and @DeniGu. It was a bit rushed, but we tried our best to make it happen here in Cambodia. This is our final report after weeks of work on this situation, and we are very happy to share it with the community finally.
