Yesterday i.e. on 15th June I came to know about World Nature Photography Day from the post by @AdamGT . I got inspired by his post and decided to post some of the Nature Photographs clicked by me which is around me. I feel very lucky to tell here that, I am living inside Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Borivali, Mumbai. Which is the best place in Mumbai in close proximity to Nature. I got accommodation from my company here in 2012. Our residential colony is situated 3.5 km inside from Main Gate . Its 8 years I am enjoying all the seasons here and all are best. Being a forest area, it has numbers of trees everywhere hence we get good Oxygen. There are many animals in this park. I daily come across Deer while travelling. I got encountered with Leopard 5 times and every time in the night while driving a car. Its really a thrilling experience. Every time I saw Leopard, i did not get time to click the photos as Leopard went away immediately. Since then i always put my camera ON on mobile stand in car, but unfortunately i did not captured Leopard yet . But whenever i get it, i will post it for sure. So here are some Nature Photographs clicked in Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Borivali which is my daily route to Home. During this lock down, the Park is closed but I have a privilege to enter. So let me show the beauty of this park .
There is Mini Guage Train called тАЬVana RaniтАЭ meaning тАЬForest QueenтАЭ . This train takes you through some of the forest parts. You can see lots of animals while travelling by train.
You can see Tiger and Lion during Tiger and Lion Safari. There is always a long queue for this Safari. Its approximate 25 mins ride by protected Bus. It 's very nice experience to see the tiger and lion especially for kids. Visiting this Safari during 9 AM to 11 AM is recommended. Both Tiger and Lion observed very active during morning time. There are 3 Tigers and 2 Lions. Its attraction point for Kids.
My friend @Rohan10 you are living in natures paradise All the photographs are beautiful. Is it safe to stay so close to wild animals, especially leopards ? Have you encountered or heard of any Human-wildlife conflict in this place?
Hello @fasi6083 thank you so much for your feedback . I am pleased to read you like the photos. We are very safe in our colony. Only the route to go out which connects Western Express Highway is a bit concern. Most of the people use car and also we have our special bus service upto Borivali Station. In day time no need to worry but at night time we always take care. There is no any Human - Wildlife conflict i heard since i am here. We usually get awareness program by Forest staff, in which they give all essential info on how to avoid wild life to Human conflict. And what to do when it happens. This awareness program is also active on social media. Thank you so much
@Rohan10 Thanks for the reply, the awareness instructions are clear and easy to understand. The forest staff is doing great on educating the inhabitants on how to live with the wild life.
