The Imagicaa Theme Park is one of the best Theme parks in India with unique and fun rides. You have things to do for all age groups. They have Live Performances, thrill rides for adventure-seekers, fun rides for Families and rides for junior kids.
Well, the Theme Park is spread across a huge land and is accompanied by a Resort to stay and a Water Park beside it. It is conveniently located in Khopoli approximately a 2-hour drive from Mumbai and Pune Cities. You can drive from these cities or rent a Cab for your visit. There are Packages on their Website which includes transportation with the Tickets.
Well, outside food is not allowed inside the Park. There are ample food options in the Cafeteria and Restaurants inside the park. There is also a Buffet Restaurant inside the Park.
I would suggest doing the Indoor Rides in the afternoon and then the outdoor ones in the evening. You can easily experience all the rides in a day. Do not miss the Evening Grand parade which includes acrobatic stunts, dance and a lot of fun.

I had the opportunity of visiting Wonderla in Bengaluru - it is similarly enjoyable, though several rides are not allowed for small kids below 12 years age, so that should be kept in mind, before going there.

@TusharSuradkar I agree, the theme Park is a perfect weekend getaway. You can plan a stay for one more day at the Novotel Imagica Resort nearby and also enjoy the Water Park along with the Theme Park,
