Iftar- Ramadan Ritual of breaking a fast

The Muslim fasting month of Ramadan is underway. The month of Ramadan began in Japan on March 2 and will end in 29/30 days (depending on the sighting of the moon). Today is the 14th day of Ramadan. Ramadan is about abstaining from food and drink from dawn to sunset. The meal consumes during dawn is called Sahri. And another meal served to break the fast is called Iftar.

The times of Sahri and Iftar are different in different countries of the world. In different countries, the food of this Iftar and Sahri is very delicious and varied. Today I am breaking my fast a Otsuka Masjid and Japan Islamic Trust.

I stood in a parallel line and prayed. Today’s Iftar consisted of water, dates, cakes, meat pies, pakora (fried vegetables with gram flour), raita (sour yoghurt with cucumber amd spices), banana, salad and Biryani (slow cooking process with Basmati Rice and beef cooked on numerous spices. I would be very happy if you could share what is on your Iftar plate today.

Thank you

Hello @Trishatishu Alhamdulillah we are in the middle Ramadan now, happy to read your experience story about Ramadan in your place.

Ok let me share my iftar too

Today’s menu is chicken porridge, because soft porridge is good for the stomach that is idle all day. Porridge is more easily absorbed by the body so that recovery is faster.

Thankyou for sharing, Ramadan Kareem.

Indonesia is still an Asian country, it is natural that similar to Chinese food.
We call it Bubur Ayam, it’s a very popular food in Indonesia, usually sold in the morning as breakfast.
