I was going to come up with an example but I don’t need to.
When I logged in here under my regular gmail account, my profile showed up as another one of my Google profiles. I’m a level 7 and do not want my account to get messed up. How do I protect and rely on my Google profiles?

I think you have more than one Gmail account, and used to login to Google. If you remove one Gmail account then it will not shown your another profile. Moreover, contribution on Google Maps using two Gmail accounts also prohibited in Local Guides Program.

Thanks for replying. To be clear, I am NOT using 2 emails for my Maps.
I am worried about changing a Google profile and losing access to an account or losing part of it, like Maps. I have an Instagram account that has done rather well. When I started this page Instagram required that I use an email. I threw one of my personal emails at it not thinking of the future. The page grew and I started a Google Biz account only to discover that it picked up my personal email as the owner even though I had an email for that account. Now I may be selling the page. I am guessing I’ll lose the the Biz account unless I can figure out how to change the ownership of that Biz account. I went through Help this morning and they sent some instructions.
The other thing I discovered is that I think I can only have 1 Biz account ? Not sure on this. When I click on the Biz app icon in an entirely different email it opens the above account. Somehow I got the wires crossed. Now I worry about forcing a change and ruining my level 7 Map profile.
Is the ownership of a Google account driving all the other Google apps or is the email driving it?
Try to login by using same email to share and contribute on google map. Thank you.

In any case you will not be able to register or login in Connect with an account that is not registered to the Local Guides program.
Regarding your account for the Google Business profile, you should ask in their community: https://support.google.com/business/community?hl=en
