This happened multiple times to me: I am typing a response to an LGC post and as soon as I try to tag/mention someone, I unintentionally end up on the persons’ profile and lose the text I was writing. With posting, there is an autosave that can make all the difference, but for comments, I got the impression there is not.
I know, I can suggest changes in the Idea Exchange. My query here is, does anyone have tips to prevent this from happening? It is not so bad on a desktop computer, because one is less likely to accidentally hit that hyperlink, but I don’t see how I can prevent this from happening on a touch screen (phone).
Any suggestions? Am I the only one with this poor User Experience?
Thank you @ErmesT .
When I have time-out problems, the system always informs me that there is an auto-saved version with the option to load or discard. I have not seen this with comments, but I am glad to hear it is in place.
The fact that this is a known issue makes me feel better. Thank you for teaching me that there is a place where (fingers crossed) I can look for auto-saved content when the system does not offer it to me.
I usually do what Ermest suggested but it didn’t work for the post I was writing. It usually does with comments. I was writing a post about night sight pictures on Google phone.
