As reported to Google Maps feedback:

Recently, my reviews and images are not being published. They may or may not show up on my Google Maps Profile at tmes, but for certain they are not being published to the Google Maps community at large.

Can you please let me know what I may or may not be doing wrong? Am I being discriminated against?

You have my logs. Is it a setting I need to correct? Am I being hacked?

Hello @VBenedict , it may take a while for your comment to be published. Some comments may not be published immediately because they are being reviewed, but if they are not published for a long time, you can object to this by creating an objection form.you can use that link.

Your profile is set to restricted. If you want help to spot what could be the cause, you need to change your privacy setting as explained here temporarily. It can also be done from a Desktop computer. Goto Your contributions, then Profile settings, then toggle Restricted profile.

Why in heavens will I spend money and time if my reviews are not published for no reason at all?

It is very confusing. I was under the impression that this “restricted” setting only applied to followers.

Are you saying that it applies to whether my reviews are published or not?

According to Google Maps support "you can’t post privately. NOR would I want to post privately :thinking:

Important: Reviews, photos, and ratings are public in Google Maps. You can’t post reviews, photos, or ratings privately on Maps.

The restricted profile settings controls if people visiting your profile page in Maps will be able to view your lists of reviews and photos. When restricted they will still show under the places.

Followers will then need to be approved by you. Such approved followers will see your list ma if pics and reviews under your profile.

I hope to his helps.

If Google finds some of your contributions to violate the guidelines they will be taken down from public view at the places. This is not affected by the restricted profile settings.
