I have a dream that no one EVER gets lost!

I started out with Google Maps ever since I got hands on my first android phone. I added my college library to Google Maps and in a few days, it got published. I literally had something on the maps that everyone else in the world could see. I was amazed. I then realized how powerful Google Maps was. I then started thinking what if I post so many things in the maps that no one in my community ever gets lost. I added a few more things in the maps and then I started responding to the queries of people as well. Google maps gave me a platform by the help of which I and people like me can help people know about our community.

Google Maps has saved me from getting lost a number of times, I remember back in 2013 when, it was the month of Ramadan and after a full day of the fast I was finding a place where I could find something to eat and perform my prayers. I opened up Google Maps and searched for a Masjid (Mosque) nearby since they provide you with something to break your fast and at the same time, it is where I could pray. I found one but I was skeptic, but still, I trusted it and followed its directions. After a moment it said Masjid is to your right, I was surprised at how accurate it was and was very delightful. I really was very grateful for the person that had added that place there. This is just one of the moments where Google Maps has saved me from getting lost.

Such events have inspired me to add places in Google Maps, answer queries of people and rate places. I have helped a lot of people and I am very happy for having done so. I don’t follow a niche and as a Local Guide, I add places that I think might be helpful to people. I am proud to be a Google Maps Local Guide.
