I do not receive any emails from Local Guides

Hey Guys!

I stopped receiving my emails for a year I think with stats, rewards, and replies from the restaurants that I usually review.

I went through the setting a couple of times and everything looks good there. So I don’t know what the issue is.

Can someone please advise and fix it for me?

It would be very helpful if you would use the tagging tool when replying to someone here on Connect. Type @ followed by the username. Type slowly. Then we get an e-mail notification and you are more likely to get a prompt reply. Just hitting Reply does not ensure we get notified by email.

@MortenCopenhagen Yep, it’s on! Actually, nothing coming to spam for the last year as well. I check it on a daily basis.

This is weird for me too, but I know that time by time some user is reporting it.

Personally my first step would be to try to reset everything by removing the four flags, submit it, then I will flag them again and I will submit them once again.

If it doesn’t work we can ask @DeniGu to escalate the issue to the team for a check of your profile

I came to think of one more possible explanation:

The stream of status emails might cease off proportional to the amount of contributions we make. So in times where we contribute less than the previous month we might not receive any such email notifications.

Could this explain your issue, @olejaja ?

@MortenCopenhagen unfortunately not really, I contributed a lot for this month, for the previous ones as well, and the past months. I think it’s some google glitch for sure.

Hi again @olejaja ,

Can you please search in your inbox for an email from “google-maps-noreply” (that’s the address from which all emails with stats and business replies come from) and scroll to the bottom until you see an “unsubscribe” link like this one:

Please try clicking on that link and re-subscribing to the Maps emails.

Let me know if that works!

I tried but unfortunately I do not have any email with google-maps-no reply. I think it’s because I stopped receiving them more than a year ago.

Ah, I see. Maybe there’s an old email somewhere in your other email folders? It doesn’t have to be a recent email.
