Hello there, I just noticed a few days ago that I can no longer review any places on the google map app. I have a Samsung phone and have updated my google map app just recently and it did not fix the issue. I checked it with other friends and they don’t have this issue. I can still review places on my laptop though (via browser). I am not sure if my account is blocked or so but appreciate it if someone can check it for me. my id: masoud.alfi

It is any particular place where you are not able to write review?
I think this problem from your side. @MasoudAlfi Make sure you are logged in with your gmail account in Google maps app.Please, try Clear cache & cookies

Yes, i am actually logged into my google account on the app. When i go to my profile and click on write a review, i can search places and write review for them. But when i search a place via main page of the google map app and tap on it, i only see the reviiand can’t write any.

Here is an example where i search and select a place on the google map app, tap on it to scroll down and write my review but there’s no place to rate and write a review (pics show all i see to the end)
I just visited the place. I also don’t see an option to review the place on the overview. But when I tap Reviews there is a line of empty start at the top where I can start adding a rating and then a review.
Sometimes we see Google block the addition of reviews and photos temporarily on select businesses or areas. Mostly to avoid spam.

For me this problem happens with all places i want to review, not just that specific one. I also don’t see the empty stars in the review tab.
I checked and only 3 of your 176 reviews are hidden so I doubt the quality of your reviews can be the problem.
What bothers me is the fact that you can review the places on desktop.

The problem we were discussing with @MortenCopenhagen here was not about my past reviews. My problem is that I cannot use my google map app (on my cellphone) to review any place. I can do it from my laptop when I use a browser though but that does not work on my google map app. More explanation of the issue is been discussed in my previous replies.
UPDATE:
I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it fixed the issue. Thank you for your help.

@MasoudAlfi Hi I also have the same problem, started more then a year ago, I also got never a solution for that problem. I think google just blocked your phone with that specific account. You can try this, same phone and now try to use a different google account, you will see you can write a review again. You could also try to use a different phone with your original google account, you will see you also can write a review. It’s just the combination of your original phone (obviously blocked by google) with your specific account.
I have an iPhone XS with my main google account, I cant review any place, the option didnt exist. If I use my second account on the same phone (iPhone XS), I can write reviews again.
As a workaround I write reviews with my ipad or with my burner phone, (IPhone 7) with my main google account, that’s only blocked on my main phone (iPhone XS).
I did a post more then a year ago, but the problem was never solved.
I am facing the same issue. Suddenly review tab on my map app is gone. Review tab is missing for every place. I can see the place review on the browser but not on the app.
One other thing is I try to review recommendations and it says I cannot post a review.
I haven’t posted any wrong or illegal review and followed the Google guide line don’t know what is happening.
