I believe in people and companies

I have been a journalist since 1981 and a Carioca since 1962. I live in the North Zone of Rio, I travel around the entire city that I know well. I appreciate good restaurants, cafeterias, bakeries, bookstores and newsstands. I think it is very important that we share with others not only the good experiences but also the bad ones in order to alert everyone, as they can be careful to avoid visiting places where the service is poor.
With the networked world, we have on Google Local Guide the unique chance to influence those who seek guidance to enjoy the best of their city. I like to share with people all kinds of consumer experiences and relationships with city services. I think it is important to value those who care about offering a quality product and honest service, committed to valuing the consumer.
In addition to providing a service to the public, I believe that the Local Guide also contributes to the good health of companies. Providing a good service and / or offering a good product is the essential role of every brand. It’s the basics. When someone pays a resource in exchange for a product or service, they always deserve the best that the brand can offer.
But taking care of quality today is no longer the only task to retain customer / consumer loyalty. It takes more than that. You need to be aware of what your brand is talking about. A comment on social media and a negative video viralized, and that’s it. All your quality work goes downhill.
Research is a good tool to build perceptions closer to reality, but it is also not enough. You need to monitor your reputation. All the time. From Sunday to Sunday. A nap and all your branding work will be insufficient to manage an image crisis. That’s why I’m Local Guide.
