I’ve always loved writing. It became a big part of my life when I started blogging at the age of 12. I still blog about my life and mostly for myself. Being part of the Google Local Guides community is a great opportunity to write more frequently and also hopefully help others.
Reviewing places, checking facts and answering questions is fulfilling. I live in a small country, so there are not that much local guides compared to more populous countries. I like to think that I am helping to develop Google Maps in my community. In return I get to be part of the newest Google developments (e.g Google Maps AR testing), which is very exciting.
My favourite activity as a guide is reviewing! Especially when I’m one of the first reviewers. Also if I get to add some new places on the map. I try to review as thoroughly as possible and hope that I help people to discover new great places. Working in food industry makes me interested of keeping up with the newest food trends. This means that I really love sharing thoughts about different restaurants.
Becoming a guide happened so slowly and naturally for me, that I don’t even remember how long I have been doing it. Time passes and I’m getting more active. The excitement is not fading, only growing!
