Hello @KhurramNasir

A local guide can’t add certain geographical features like lakes, rivers, or mountains through the “Add missing places” option…
Nevertheless, you can always communicate the requirement through “Send feedback” and then “Your opinion about Maps”. option. You can include a screenshot also in that to support your claim.
Trust that would solve your problem.

Are you talking about this lake , @KhurramNasir : https://goo.gl/maps/Esz5bNA6rPh1VHNc9 ?

Or about something different? Giving some more information will help to better understand your issue, even if, regarding your general question, I agree with @C_T : Towns, roads, squares, rivers, lakes (just to mention a few) are elements of the Map Layer. Local Guides cannot edit that layer. Only Google Maps team can.

What we can do, for helping the team, is to report an error on Google Maps, through the “send a feedback” that you will find scrolling down your menu on Google Maps.

For more details you can read: Report an error on the map

Hello @C_T and @KhurramNasir ,

“Nevertheless, you can always communicate the requirement through “Send feedback” and then “Your opinion about Maps”. option.”

Please know that any feedback sent to “Your opinion about Maps” is only for a users *opinion" … about their experience using Maps."

Any report (request) for any form of an ‘edit’ sent to that feedback selection will not be actioned – and essentially will disappear into the proverbial black hole. (Additionally, as this isn’t a report, there won’t be a record of it in the user’s Contributions/Edits/Status.)

Any category that does not appear in the ‘category selection’ cannot be added by a user in the Google Maps application.

Kind regards.

“A reply to a topic you are following has been accepted as a solution!”

So the OP selects a post as a solution that has incorrect information, over two posts with correct information. That selected post has apparently been deleted by the Local Guide that posted it.
