I am inviting fellow Local Guides to join me for a special meetup at The Kunj, Delhi’s only handicrafts mall, where we will explore artisan stores, traditional crafts, and cultural spaces while helping improve information on Google Maps.

This meetup will help participants discover unique local businesses, support artisans and craftspeople, verify information on Maps, and contribute valuable updates for future visitors.

Agenda:

Explore The Kunj and discover handicraft stores from across India.

Update business information such as timings, categories, contact details, and location accuracy.

Add photos and videos of storefronts, interiors, products, and public spaces to keep Google Maps updated.

Accessibility Check – Review accessibility features and update relevant information on Maps.

Support local artisans by writing helpful reviews and sharing authentic experiences.

Google Maps Activities:

Taking storefront photos.

Adding interior and product photos.

Rating places on Google Maps.

Capturing short videos of shops and displays.

Writing reviews for businesses.

Checking accessibility features.

Verifying business information and map pin accuracy.

Updating women-owned, sustainability-related, and inclusive business attributes wherever applicable.

Discovering and documenting hidden gems within The Kunj.

Equipment:

Mobile phone with the Google Maps app installed

Fully charged battery or power bank

Meetup banner/poster for group photos (will be provided)

During the meetup, we will update Google Maps, document our contributions, and learn best practices for creating high-quality map content while exploring one of Delhi’s most unique cultural and shopping destinations.

Hi @delhifundos, this hybrid meet-up concept is amazing! ‘The Kunj’ looks like a beautiful place to explore Indian handicrafts, and doing a video walk focused on videography and accessibility there is a fantastic idea.
