What does the Local Guides program mean to me?
I write my post in March, when almost the whole world is quarantined and sitting at home. But the thirst for adventure and travel in me lives all the time. I really like to be on the move: I like to travel, try something new and interesting, find amazing and strange places. That is why the program Local Guides is so important and interesting to me. I can make a trip around the world without leaving my apartment. I “try” the national cuisines of different countries and get acquainted with the culture while sitting at home.
This summer, my husband and I are planning to travel on our motorhome to Europe. Now I have a great opportunity to prepare our trip with the application Local Guides. I plan the route of our trip, look for interesting locations, note for myself the dishes I want to try, I plan the trip budget and time.
Even when we don’t leave Ukraine, I often use Local Guides reviews - before I go for a coffee or eat ice cream.
After all, it is so important: to speak and be heard, understand and be understood!
For me, this is a very convenient and easy to use application. I am actively studying English. I speak Russian and Ukrainian. And I really hope that I can find like-minded people who want to share knowledge.
I hope that soon the whole world will be cured of the COVID-19 and all borders will be open again for travel and work.
