How to transfer contributions from a GSuite account to Gmail

Hello,
I did not find the possibility to transfer contributions from a Gsuite account to GMail. Looks like it’s not possible, what will happen to my contributions when my Gsuite account is deleted? Copying all my reviews and photos from an account would take too long.

I’m sorry about your issue, @Heliospeed_old , however @MortenCopenhagen is correct.

According to the Local Guides Program Terms and Conditions : “Contributions to Google Maps must originate from a single Google account to count towards benefits and cannot be transferred between owned accounts.”

This is why it is strongly recommended to use a personal account for contributing to the Local Guides program.

Downloading and removing your contributions with this account, and upload them with a new account is the only solution available.

Sorry, it is not, @Heliospeed_old .

You can copy all the text in your reviews, then delete them manually one by one (this takes a lot of time) and then post them again from the new account. But then they will have new and misleading dates. And not all reviews will be relevant. If you skip deleting the old reviews the new ones will be hidden as stolen.

Photos can also be deleted and reuploaded but the time it takes is not worth the effort.

I suggest you use your time on creating new and fresh contributions.

Your old content will still be available after you no longer have access to the Google account.

Unfortunately there is not that tool, @Heliospeed_old , or at least not yet.

While I agree with @MortenCopenhagen that doing this one by one is time consuming, we are not talking about a large amount of contributions: 128 reviews and 186 photos.

30 photos are related to unknown places or duplicate.

You can pick the review that still valid (recent or related to places that are not changed) and copy them. You probably have the original photos stored in Google photos. The ones about food older than one or two years probably are useless (the place may have changed the menu) but you can check it easily.

And you can share your Google Photos account with the other one.

In any case, as highlighted by Morten, everything uploaded with the new account should be deleted on the old one.

Your situation is unfortunately very common, and is the reason why in the past I wrote a couple of ideas:

The Idea are actually closed, but you can support them or share your experience, for the team to think about an improvement.

Sorry not to have a better solution, but actually this is what the rules says

Hi @Heliospeed_old you can get all your maps data from https://takeout.google.com/

Then you can quit Local Guides from the gsuite account and join from a new account, make sure you don’t have both active in the program at the same time.

I had already used takeout, I had the photos but not my only textual contributions.
I will have to retrieve one by one in a text file.

The reviews normally come out in a KML file @Heliospeed_old as part of the takeout, is this not happening anymore?

Hello,

I didn’t have a kml file but only json, csv and jpg files.
It does not matter I deleted all my posts and photos and I recreated with my gmail account for the locations that still exist.

I have been receiving messages for a few days indicating that my reviews are deleted or not published. They are considered fake reviews. However, I have deleted these notices published from my previous account.
It’s disappointing not being able to migrate an account, spending time manually copying for nothing.

I spent a lot of time to submit the photos and the good period of each review.

What can I do ?
