many shops after the lockdown have permanently changed their opening days and opening hours. There is the possibility to change the opening hour, but I cannot find the option to put as “closed” on a specific day of the week.
I mean, I can suggest only new opening hours but I cannot suggest that for example on Sunday the shop is now closed.
When you enter into edit mode for a place and then expand the hours, you will then see a checkbox to the left of each set of hours. Use the checkbox to indicate which hours you wish to change. You will then be able either change the hours or hit the X beside them to completely delete them. I’ve circled the X in the screenshot below from the browser version of Maps, it is the same in the Maps app.
In this picture above, you can see I marked the day Friday as ‘closed’ this place… Follow the steps so then you can add a New Closing Day for the shop.
thank you very much for your explanation, but I think there is a problem on my App version of Google Maps (version 10.41.5 for Android). My Android version is 9.0 (Mobile phone LG V30 version software v31a-EUR-XX)
In fact when I tried to delete the opening hours for a specific shop I could not see any X beside them (look at the screenshot).
Only casually I could notice that if you swipe the display from the left side to the right, than the X function appears. I do not know if is something normal or is a bug of the App. For sure if you do not know how to use it, you cannot see the X (delete function).
I just wanted to let you know that I have removed the Spanish language tag from your post as it’s written in English. These labels are used so that posts in different languages can be found more easily by Local Guides.
