As the director badge doesn’t update frequently, is there any way to count the number of videos I’ve actually uploaded on Google Maps.
@ProKashyap Hi!
You can check your contribution count by category by visiting your Contributions on the Web.
You can check your badges by visiting your profile on the Maps app then see the real-time updates of your contributions. You have to remember that it takes some time to upgrade your count on your profile. As per my experience 24 hours to several days.
I see you have uploaded 26 videos.
Here is the Director badges unlock requirements-
Hi @ProKashyap
It’s too easy. You need to following 5 steps in maps.
Contribute> view your profile> your points> director badge> volume
I also add screenshots of how can you easily find this.
Step 1: Contribute
Step 2: view your profile
Step 3: your points
Step 4: Director badge
Step 5: Volume
You have uploaded 26 videos. To respond to your question: to see the videos you have uploaded on maps you just need to tap on your avatar, and to scroll down.
As indicated by @ShafiulB , the count on the director badge needs a few days to update
@ShafiulB hi,
Thanks for the advice, but I know the method you just told me. The Director badge doesn’t update quite often. It takes time. I’ve uploaded more than 26 videos.
I actually wanted to know if there’s another way to see only the uploaded videos.
As there’s a section of photos which also includes videos. I was wondering if there would be a section which shows only videos uploaded by me.
You know what I mean !!
Sorry @ProKashyap , no such option has been added to the map. Hopefully they will add such options in the future
No, @ProKashyap , there is not actually a way to filter only the videos you uploaded.
BTW on idea exchange there is an idea by @SaifIS
Separate video tab on the contribution page
Even if the idea is actually closed, you can support the idea, for a future implementation
@ProKashyap Thanks for your understanding! I am sorry there is no any option to show only videos on your contributions list. But as a Local Guides, you can share your idea to the Local Guides and Google Maps team by sharing Ideas on the Idea Exchange board.
Hi @ProKashyap ,
Please note that I have accepted @ErmesT 's reply as a solution as it gives the complete answer to your question.
While reading the thread I understood that your actual question is regarding separate section for videos uploaded on Google Maps. For that reason, I will edit the heading of your post a bit, so it is clear from the beginning. This way other Local Guides would benefit from it.
