Hi, Golam, everyone!

Completing what Gabriel spoke, “dear” could be translate to Brazilian Portuguese as “querido”, igual in Spanish. So here in Brazil we say: Caro amigo or Querido amigo.

Hello everybody! “Dear” in Italian is “caro” (male) or “cara” (female), “cari” (plural male or mixed male/female) or “care” (plural female). Cheers!

Chữ " Kính gửi" thường dùng 1 cách gián tiếp thí dụ viết thư cho 1 người lớn tuổi hoặc 1 vị lảnh đạo quan trọng, cũng có thể sử dụng trực tiếp từ này đối với 1 người mà mình kính trọng thí dụ: " Chúng con kính gửi cha món quà này …"

In Germany we say “Liebe” if you address it to a woman and “Lieber” if it is a man. → dear friend (man) = Lieber Freund; dear friend (woman) = Liebe Freundin

If you want to say “dear friends” which is plural, you use “Liebe Freunde”.

I know, German grammar is a liiiiiittle complicated :wink:
