How to report massive data issues affecting several streets in Malta?

Hi, a question: I am currently on vacation in Malta, and the place I am staying in does not exist on Google Maps.

The reason for this is that the entire street (and a few other streets) got new door numbers back in 2017, as published by the Maltese Government. However, Google Maps was apparently not updated for the last 8 years… I also see it is a very long time ago since both satellite and street view imagery were updated for the area I’m in, at least for the same number of years, since the building I’m in does not even exist according to Google Maps.

What is the usual way to report massive data issues to Google? I just reported a problem as general feedback.

Well I guess I found the answer myself. When trying to edit road and address features, I just get an “Unsupported region” error… For one of the major holiday destinations globally this is a bummer. Their buses are already so unreliable and I cannot even use Google Maps reliably here as well…

Such data issues are better dealt with in the Google Maps Help Community

To get help you need to be super specific and include relevant Maps links. Start with one issue so you can learn how best to report an issue in the Google Maps Help Community.

Ps I removed marking of Solution as it is not really solving the issue.

Hi @HenRex ,

I’ve faced similar challenges in areas with outdated or unsupported map data. The way forward is to report it through the Google Maps Help Community, as suggested by @MortenCopenhagen . Try focusing on one specific issue at a time, include precise location links, screenshots, and any relevant official documentation to make your case stronger. This focused approach often leads to clearer guidance and better outcomes. Hope this helps, and safe travels in Malta!
