Is there a way to send a link or refer localguidesconnect to another Google user?

Hi @Shruti_8088 , welcome to Local Guides Connect.

You can copy the link from Address bar and paste it to any person’s personal window on messenger. This is the most easy way to share link of local guides connect’ s link and if you want to share your profile link , Open your profile and use the same procedure to share your connect profile to any one.

The best link to share is the simplest one, which is: www.localguidesconnect.com

So just copy&paste that and send it to anybody you want!

Then once they make their account in Connect, you can tag them in posts/comments by using the “@” symbol followed by their username.

Example for mine is: @anyaamorimV

Here is an article on 14 helpful tips of how to use Connect and once you open that page, you can also copy&paste the link from your browser and send it to any Google user you previously mentioned!

Hello @Shruti_8088

At the bottom of any post, you will see a “share” symbol “>” which resembles an inequality sign.

Click on that and then that will offer you several options to share the content. A screenshot is below.

That’s the fastest and easiest way to share the contents on Connect.

That eliminates the trouble of copying the link and then accessing the desired medium to convey that.

Further, if you are using the progressive web app of the connect site, you wouldn’t see the address bar and then not everyone knows how to copy a link.

There isn’t any objection or hindrance to doing that.

Else, providing such an excellent sharing option would be meaningless.

@Shruti_8088 Haven’t seen any “refer” option anywhere on “localguidesconnect”. But you can definitely share this amazing community with others. Just forward them the URL by message, facebook or any other social media.

Note that you will be asked to login into your google account when logging in localguidesconnect.com.

In summary:

  1. Get a google / gmail account if there isn’t one already

  2. Register for local guides program using above account :https://maps.google.com/localguides/

  3. Go to https://www.localguidesconnect.com/ and login with the same google account.
