How to reclaim our business on Maps

Someone else has already claimed my college on Maps. When I try to reclaim it, the option is not visible. I need guidance on how to proceed.

Hello @K.K.Sharma,
you should ask this question at the GBP forum here or search the GBP help center.
Anyway, as of my knowledge, as a business owner, you are not supposed to be registered in Local Guides Connect.
Updated:
“Using this account to claim a business it is not an issue. What is strictly forbidden is to use your Local Guide account to promote the business in your contributions as Local Guide.”

@Ryaneste, your instructions are correct. However, since @K.K.Sharma said “When I try to reclaim it …” it seems to me he already tried those steps without success.

First of all, don’t claim that business with this local guide account’s email id @K.K.Sharma. Try to use different e-mail id. Tagging @ErmesT , I hope he can find a solution!

Not a good advice @Rahul001, any person being a business owner cannot be member of Local Guides Connect with more than one mail address.

He is already in connect @WilfriedB . Atleast I tell him before he claimed a business right?

@K.K.Sharma , I am flagging @WilfriedB as the solution, because he gave you the correct answer.
Using this account to claim a business it is not an issue.
What is strictly forbidden is to use your Local Guide account to promote the business in your contributions as Local Guide.
@K.K.Sharma , please follow the information and links provided by Wilfried to contact Google Business Profile

This is not correct, @WilfriedB
What is not permitted is to use a local guide profile for promoting the business.
But even a business owner is a consumer, does shopping, eats at a restaurant, and can add photos and reviews. What is important is to avoid to mix the contributions your own business.

Thanks @ErmesT, I was confusing with a person having two profiles.

Thank you, @Rahul001! If there is a rule that prevents a Local Guide from claiming a business or if claiming a business disqualifies someone from being a Local Guide, then instead of using my email, I will assign this task to someone on my staff.

No, there is not a rule that says that, @K.K.Sharma
What should be avoided is just to use your Local Guide contributions and profile for promoting your business

Thank you, @WilfriedB, for sharing the GBP Help Center info. As a Local Guide, this information is indeed useful.

Although @ErmesT has provided clear guidance, I would like to bring to your attention that, in our country, a college does not fall under the category of a business, nor is the Principal (I am the Pricipal) considered its owner. However, you are right that on Maps, it is treated as a business. The Principal (Head of the Institute) holds a tenure-based position and is not a permanent position. That said, I can always assign this task to someone on my staff.
Thank you, @Rahul001, for tagging Ermes T.
And a big thanks to Ermes T for clarifying all the points for us. :bouquet::bouquet::bouquet::bouquet::bouquet::bouquet::bouquet:
