How to invite local guides to a restaurant

  1. My friend owns a restaurant in Abu Dhabi and was asking me if I can help him with inviting local guides to his place so they can share their experience. Your guidance is very much appreciated.

First, your friend needs claiming the business.

Once done, the “follow” the place option will be available in the Maps app to which local guides can subscribe.

Additionally, the owner can provide updates on various offers which would become visible in the “updates” section.

Additionally, some regions have a feature of messaging through maps which can be used to invite.

what I meant is something more focused on the local guides community, as his restaurant is already claimed by him. Something were he can get more reviews and ratings by professional Local Guides instead of only your ordinary reviews.

I don’t think there’s professional Local Guides. All Local Guides are Volunteer. Not professional.

If business owner want to invite Local Guides to their place, maybe you could host a Sponsored Meet Up. You could read about it here: Guidelines for hosting a sponsored meet up

But one thing that business owner must know: they must understand that none of the attendees/Local Guides that promising contribution in any kind to the business in exchange of sponsoring the Meet Up.

Is there anyway to know how many local guides in Abu Dhabi? in case we are willing to arrange for a meetup

And can we post to see first if local guides are interested to meet before arranging the meetup?

As @iorikun301 were saying, If the business owner want to invite Local Guides to their place, maybe one of us could host a Sponsored Meet Up. And i will be one of the attendees of course

But of course it will be an honest review, not a promotion to the restaurant, but one way or another, by us going there and setting a Meetup there, it will help the restaurant getting known.

thank you very much both for you great feedback and help, yes @Ma7moudx I agree that this will be a great chance to hold up a meet up, so what are the next steps to organize for this, and what sort of discount should we consider from the businesses owner, how many LG to expect for such an event? And how much time notice should we give?
