hi @KatyaL I reported 20 hours ago a user who has used the term racist in a review on google maps plus that he posted a fake photo that location, and also posted a question with an offensive tone to a country
Hi @To_paul ,
Thanks for reaching out. As your post is not related to Local Guides perks, Iâm going to merge it here - How to identify and report fraud on Google Maps.
Please make sure you report the review from the three dots menu and follow the instructions to fill in the policy violation.
-
On your computer, open Google Maps.
-
Find the review that violates Googleâs review policies.
-
Next to the review, click More > Flag as inappropriate.
It will take time to check the report you submitted. Thanks for your understanding.
Good morningI @KatyaL I followed the notification procedure when I reported but the review is still there as the picture and the rest, for at least three days.
The user who launched these masked insults continues to develop his extremist part of it. The bad facts must be cut from the root, this user interprets as a success that he has done so far with his harmful facts and will do much worse in the future. Eventually it should be related to the organs empowered to fight extremism on a global level because it has acted in the Internet space
Hi @CamilloCampobasso ,
Thanks for reaching out.
I will send you a private message with instructions on how to report this inappropriate contribution so our team can look into it and take any appropriate action, though we wonât be able to share the final decision as we respect everyoneâs privacy.
P.S.: I will merge your post with How to identify and report fraud on Google Maps, in order to keep Connect organized.
Thank you @ErmesT for tagging me.
I want to report a local guide that is just spamming local businesses with false ratings to boost his levels. @JeslynL
Hello @Stevezuks ,
I will reach out to you in private with further instructions.
@AlexaAC Hi, I would like to report a spam Google Local Guide. He as been posting food pictures for every place, whether or not the place is related to food. How do I go about this?
Hi @talwarvidul ,
I will send you a private message with instructions on how to report this specific user so our team can look into this personâs account and take any appropriate action, though we wonât be able to share the final decision as we respect everyoneâs privacy.
Our company recently received an email from a random asking for $200 weekly or they would hit us with one star reviews.
Over the last 3 Days we received eight (8) - one (1) star reviews. All reviews are from accounts with just this one review. Reviews are in broken english, non specific, and in names do not match local facebook of 411 searches.
We received a second Email from a name matching one of the reviews asking for $300 a week to have the reviews removed.
Some questions:
How does a low level single review guide effect star rating? Do they have the same weight as a level 5 guide?
Does a review from a guide that has never been in the area (or possibly country) still carry weight?
We have flagged these reviews as inappropriate but were unable to find a flag for extortion.
How can we have these reviews checked for authenticity and removed if disingenuous?

It seems you already know this post to know how to report a Local Guide: How to identify and report fraud on Google Maps
I want to inform you that a tag, to be effective, need to be written on a post. So, as it is required to tag a Google Moderator (just one, not the whole list) I am tagging @MoniDi for you.
Using a review to get money is against the program rules , and all the Local Guides need to be reported. In addition, being you a business, you should Flag inappropriate reviews through your My Business account
Local Guides Connect is the community of the Local Guides, thatâs why I am addressing you also to the My Business Community
In addition, using a review as a blackmail to obtain money is against the law, and the Local Guides should be reported, using the email as an evidence, to the Local Police
Hello @clairechristian47 ,
Iâm simply letting you know that I have moved your post to How to identify and report fraud on Google Maps to keep Connect organised.
hola, @GeorgesHR, @KlaudiyaG, @NadyaPN, @MarinS
Found that a Local Guide contributes content or behaves in a way that seems to violate our policies or the rules of the Local Guides program
Encontrado que un GuĂa local contribuye con contenido o se comporta de una manera que parece violar nuestras polĂticas o las reglas del programa de GuĂas locales
In my area a highly destructive local guide has appeared that adds false and highly harmful offensive comments in a generalized way (if not all of them) with photos that have nothing to do with the places mentioned, with contempt for the truth and without any relation to the places and businesses that are commented.

I will send you instructions on how to report this Local Guide, so our team can look into his/her account and take any appropriate action, though we wonât be able to share the final decision as we respect everyoneâs privacy. Thank you for flagging!
The topic describes the issue. Thereâs a user whoâs spamming photos of his own product in every single picture he takes of a place.
