I’ve been stuck on the “Novice Fact Finder” badge for what feels like years, with 24/25 place updates and an excess of 1,000 questions answered. I have no problem with the number of questions answered, but the “place updates” don’t seem to be updating for me. I recently submitted additional edits which I believe to count towards place updates, and I can see that all of the recent updates have been accepted and published, however my badge remains stuck at 24/25 place updates.
I’m looking for confirmation on whether submitting edits count toward place updates, and any assistance in updating my badge progress. Thank you in advance!

Place updates are approved Suggested edits as you mentioned.

Is the problem that you think the number 129 is lower than you expected?
Keep in mind that edits need to be approved to count towards the badge.
There has been some issues with edits not going through recently. That might be a contributing factor.

I understand that suggested edits must be approved in order to count towards badge progress. I am able to see that my five most recent edits have been approved and are live, however my badge status has not been updated. In other words, I was already at 24/25 place updates prior to my recent edits.
When I look at my edit history (example screenshot above), I understand that the Dominion Live Bait edit with one accepted suggestions only counts as one edit, while the two Nik Style entries should count as two credits (despite 1 + 4 edits made). Based on the above, I count more than the 25 required accepted place updates in my edit history (in fact, I count 33 starting from May 24, 2018).
Is there a way to identify which edits have been included/excluded from my badge progress or to refresh/review my badge progress? Alternatively, am I misunderstanding something? Thank you in advance.
Two possible explanations
There is a delay between edits get approved and when the show up in our badge stats. Easily 1-2 weeks.
I vaguely remember that some types of edits do not count towards badges.
But first please wait 2 weeks. And if you don’t get the badge, let’s resume this discussion.
