How to Fix Local Guide Perks Redeem Code Not Working.

I got an email saying I had a new perk to redeem. I got excited as this was my first perk but when I clicked the redeem button and copied and pasted the code, the following error shows up: (also see image)

Sorry, it appears there is an issue with your email or code. We recommend copying the redemption code directly from your perk email.

I tried manually typing. Used same case, without spaces, tried it on my phone as well as computer but no luck.

I don’t know how to fix this. My code expires soon.

Hello , I received email about the LG socks, however I am entering the code it says there is some problem try copy pasting the code, I am not sure what I am doing wrong here. I even tried testing it in the FAQ. It says you have to copy paste the code from the mail. I believe I am enough computer literate to know how to properly copy paste the code and yet it says problem with the code.

Recently I got a mail from google that says I got a reward from google for my contribution to google maps but when I tried to redeem I got this message: “Sorry, it appears there is an issue with your code. We recommend copying and pasting the redemption code. If you need help with your order please check out the FAQ page.”

Please help me

The reward expiration date is listed in the email under your unique code. Can you confirm that date didn’t pass?

No the expiration date didn’t pass. (“Code expires on April 24, 2021”)

Yes, I am not able to redeem the code. Its shows error

I tried everything, it’s not working.

@Bobiisha I got a mail (on 12th of april) from local guide asking necessary details and I filled the details right away but didn’t get any reply till now. 2 days before that I had contacted brand addition (as no response was coming) and on 12th April I also got reply from them asking redemption code and address. Should I give them the asked details?

We already have the needed details and your special edition reward is on its way, so you shouldn’t worry, neither give additional information. I kindly ask you to bear in mind that the delivery can take from 4 to 6 weeks.

@Bobiisha rrecently I got mail from local guides to change my name and profile photo because according to them my account is promoting business… Seriously??? May I know how I am “participating as business”???

We cannot confirm whether you name is related to an existing business or not, however, according to our program rules, Local Guides need to participate in the program as individuals. Please follow the instructions in the email that you received and if you need a refresher here are our program rules.
