How to Fix Local Guide Perks Redeem Code Not Working

Hello Connectors and Mods!

I got an email saying I had a new perk to redeem. I got excited as this was my first perk but when I clicked the redeem button and copied and pasted the code, the following error shows up: (also see image)

Sorry, it appears there is an issue with your email or code. We recommend copying the redemption code directly from your perk email.

I tried manually typing. Used same case, without spaces, tried it on my phone as well as computer but no luck :disappointed:

I would love to redeem it but I don’t know how to fix this. My code expires soon.

When I try to redeem my gift of a free paid of socks, I keep getting this message.

I’ve tried copying and pasting the code, manually typing it, and validating the code in the FAQ. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Today I have received a mail from Google Local Guides regarding redeem your Local Guides perk, but unfortunately after submitting the code it showing that “Sorry, it appears there is an issue with your email or code. We recommend copying the redemption code directly from your perk email”.

I am posting this here because I have been working on this for over an hour and this is the closest I can find to a help forum.

I have tried on 4 different browsers plus mobile; on each, I have clicked the link in the email after copying the code, pasted the code and every single time I get the error message that there is a problem with my “code or email”.

I’ve tried the FAQ multiple times and it tells me “We recommend clicking the link in your email” WHICH I HAVE BEEN DOING.

The last attempt through the safari browser failed and when I tried the FAQ again it said a support ticket with my e-mail and code was created and that I should be getting an e-mail shortly.

I have gotten no e-mail so far and I have very high doubts about it coming. This post is my last hope as I have to redeem it by October 31st, 2019.

I just received an email 30 mins ago reminding me about my sock perk that I had missed earlier. I clicked on the oink provided, and it gave me an error:

I’ve tried to copy + paste the code exactly from the email multiple times but to no avail. Any ideas how I could redeem the perk?

So…

i got mail from google stating that you have earned perk and redeem, as I was unable to redeem the code please tell me how to fix this issue I am also posting the error snap

I got the email this morning, but when I enter the code, I get “Sorry, it appears there is an issue with your email or code. We recommend copying the redemption code directly from your perk email.” Tried several times, know I copied/pasted correctly, and it even seems to verify when I enter the relevant info on the FAQ page under “Why doesn’t my redemption code work?” There doesn’t seem to be any way to contact anyone for assistance. What a bummer. :disappointed:
