How to find silence in a crowded city?

My favorite additions to google maps are all about finding rest and serenity so people get more relaxed and well rested. With my contributions I hope people will go to these locations; with the following tips you can perhaps find places in your own city so more people can find the rest they deserve!

So do you love to live in a big city but struggle to find rest? Say no more and get some extra peace by using my tips;

  1. Go for green!
    Grab your Google Maps application and find the smaller green spaces in a city. Big parks are famous and not quiet at all but the small strokes of green especially when encapsulated by buildings are the number one place to go to when you just want to relax a bit.

  2. Follow the elderly
    When people get older they tend to find quiet places. When you go to a new city ask an older citizen about their favorite place and they probably lure you right into the silent.

  3. Get wet!
    If you will find water you can probably find quietness. People tend to look for big waters outside the city, many waters inside they city are overlooked. So take on your swimming pants and jump right in!

  4. Study weekend
    Ever heard about the student who learned all weekend long? Me neither! Many students go to their hometowns when the weekend has arrived. Therefor universities are perfect for some rest in the weekends, usually they have big gardens or parks. Even on a rainy they you can enjoy the rest in of their libraries.

    Let’s hope you can get the rest that you deserve!

Thank you very much! I understand and I will, thanks again.

Thank you for good advice.

It is really interesting because I prefer a cozy place to overcrowded one.

As we know, it is not easy to find a silent place in a big city like London, NYC, and, Amsterdam, because there are always many tourists, visitors, and local people. I understand what you mean, and try to use it next trip.
