Hello Google,

I am a local guider.

I have a issue.

Okay I tell you my problem.

Sir I have a YouTube channel with almost 70k active subscribers.

I want to work for helping peoples as a local guider.

But I using my YouTube E-mail ID for local guide.

But a want to use my real name for Google map as a local guide.

But it show my YouTube name.

It is big problem create for me.

I not want to use MY YouTube name for as a local guide.

Please note my this issue and provide me a card for change my name for Google map.

But I want to use My YouTube channel name for YouTube .

Please provide me the information how can I change my Google local guider name and profile photo without change My YouTube Name and YouTube profile photo.

Please help me.

Because it is most important for me.

I have 2 different usernames on my Google account and I don’t know how to keep only one username?

When I go to settings in my contributions that username doesn’t want to change and I don’t have the option to change it!!

My connect and my contributions have different username.:neutral_face:

Can someone help me with that please?

Hello @SunshineNY

If you mean that you’ve two accounts on Google then no problem, But only one of them should be in Local Guides program. So you should sign in to Local Guides Settings page and press Exit the program at the bottom of the page. Notice that having more than one account in Local Guides program is opposite of the rules and may cause to suspension of both accounts.

Also users has no username on their Google profile but they have real name. If your name is not correct on your Google account you can change it in on My Account Page. For more instructions you can check this guide. Be aware that you can only use real individual name for your account because using brand name or company is opposite of the Local Guides program rules.

Also to change username on Connect you can use this page.

@Amiran ,thanks for the advice.

I have a username that maybe a moderator can fix it from his/her side. I don’t know why just in my contributions that username got struck there?? Even when Google emails, I don’t such problem.

I’m not sure about understanding your question. Can you please share screenshot of username you refer? You can crop or blur other parts in your screenshot.

Hi @SunshineNY I’ve read through your question, the answers and your responses. Do you mean that your Connect Username does not match your Google username?

It does not have to, the Connect user and your google account user are tied together at a different level.

If you want to change your username you can do that under your profile here on Connect - click on your avatar there is an option there.

Close one account or singout from one account.

Keep ing two account in connect is policy violation, account will be suspended, I had to face such occasion.

@PaulPavlinovich , thank you, my username name in contribution’s page is my problem.

I went to my Gmail’s account, my YouTube account , I have one username and it’s fine.

Even Google when they send me an email is the username name I want.

My contributions name “I don’t like it”. I have only one account just to keep it clear.

I have a new phone now and more faster but this problem is bothering me.

I am afraid to log out and lose everything.

@Charms , no dear, I have one account for Google and they can check it but when I changed my username and picture profile it seemed didn’t want to leave me !!!

If you would like to change your username on Connect, go to your profile and follow the steps.

  1. My settings

  2. Personal

  3. Username

  4. Type the username what you would like to see, and click on Change Username

If you would like to change your account name, check out the Change your Google Account name & other info.

If you visit this page https://maps.google.com/localguides/home/settings what username does it have? It should be the same as your Google Account name.
