How can i change a river name? I mean a river is not a place or building. It’s a wide area. As we know a river is fall or join into another river. So how can i fixed the area of river and change the name? Please help me.

Towns, roads and rivers are elements of the Map Layer. Local Guides cannot edit that layer. Only Google Maps team can.
What we can do, for helping the team, is to report an error on Google Maps, through the “send a feedback” that you will find scrolling down your menu on Google Maps.

As @ErmesT says, certain features are not open for editing by the public. Water features are one such feature, even in the old tools we had which could edit all features we were not able to edit water features any longer after a specialized team at Google that just does water features was formed and editing of such features was turned off.
Unfortunately using “Send Feedback” will no help either, as that is the tool we use for the features we can edit.

In Maps there are Spelling mistakes of the places,Town names, village Names and also City names in Regional Local Languages especially in Tamil language. I want to correct it. How can I do the corrections.

I realy surprize over the years that google named our river “Jamuna” as River "Brahmaputra ". I tried to edit but find no optuon. I along with my people of Bangladesh cannot accept it at all. Yes it is Brahmaputra untill it cross the border of soverign Bangladesh. I thin google respect the people’s choice and as local people call it Jamuna, it should be introduced as Jamuna in World Map. I urge, appeal and protest against this irregularities. As a dedicated local guide I reuest the authority concen to fix it immidiately.
