Hi! I`m living in a small town Oleshky in Ukraine. Quality of our google maps is poor because of the names of a streets and addresses of the buildings.
I have a willnes to improve all in the google maps but tell me how?
Kind regards,
Volodymyr
Hi @shlonskyi
Thanks for asking.
Use these Steps to send feedback.
But be ready to attach official documents to prove the validity of the proposed new names. Screen dumps from your local authorities websites and photos of street signs are examples of such documents.
Best of luck. You need it since it is not easy to convince Googles staff to rename such elements on the map.
Cheers
Morten
Hello @shlonskyi
We can suggest an edit to a road name also. However, the path is slightly different.
For that, follow these steps in the Maps app on your phone.
Click on the profile icon → Send feedback -->Add or fix a road–> Road name → Tap to select a road → Type the correct road name. Here you can add some more details to justify the name change in the next field. Send that once done.
After verification and approval of the suggestion, the new road name will become visible.
On a desktop, the sequence remains the saem. However, we have to click the hamburger icon to reach the menu sequence.
Thanks for a quick respond!
Already submitted a feedback ticket to a google stuff:

In 2017-2018 in Ukrainian government signed a new law about decommunization of old soviet street and city names. Here is the list from city major website of renamed streets in Oleshky city:

I have a willnes to improve all the google maps mistakes in Oleshky but tell me how?
p.s.: Also we have a small amount of building addresses pointed on map. Is there an option how can i add more?
Kind regards, Volodymyr

Hi! Thanks, unfortunately this way was closed in Ukraine by google staff more than 5 years ago =
I also asking myself “why do they not opened it for high level local experts?”
Thanks for the clarification @shlonskyi
I request you use the tagging tool by writing @ and then selecting an appropriate name from the pop-up box.
Sad to note that Maps edits are not possible in your region.
In that case, you can use the send feedback route along with a link to some official document which specifies the new names.
In any case, if the local administration takes up with Google to have the changes, the outcome will be much faster.
Hello @shlonskyi ,
Welcome to Connect, we are happy to have you here.
I saw you were helpfully advised and you managed to submit your feedback.
I just wanted to say that your post has a Ukrainian language label. Please note that I’m going to remove the label because you didn’t write in the Ukrainian language.
Please take a look at the How do I find posts in my preferred language? article, where you can find how to use language labels and search for posts in your preferred language.
Thanks
