Since you mention this Tony, I thought possibly the same happened to you as it did to me:
I did see the How to Create a Photo Collage in Connect post by TusharSuradkar months ago, but the term “Collage” distracted me and I forgot the details (or never read good enough 
).
Now, after reading it again, I realized, that post does indeed describe how use the grid and not how to create a “collage”, which I understand as a single image combining multiple photos!
