How to avoid similar places {or text} while you are adding a new place/road or a street.I have been facing this issue ,when I add a new place and I got a message that this place is already exist with similar name; in fact there are many places and business with similar name or text but with different services and activities .would any one help me to solve this problem or ant expert guy should that what is the limit or radius for the similar places with in a locality.

Isn’t there an option “submit anyway”?

Usually I see these notifications but there also is that above mentioned option and if you are sure about the place you could proceed ahead.

Yes, it’s the same to me.

At least last 10 tries to add a missing place are NOT APPLIED.

I would like to note that all fields were filled-in.

So, it’s not very motivating to me to spend my time to do this and not to see results.

Even worse I can not understand WHY it’s not applied. There isn’t any signs during submitting the info let alone to receive a feedback.

I think from some level up there should be more transparent criteria about adding new places, at least to avoid wasting our time in attempting to improve the map by adding new places. At the same time, I find places which are totally uncompleted and very often send report for duplicates…

Hello @Pashtoon ,

If a place with a similar name and information has already been added to the map, it should be visible for you to see. If the similar place you’re mentioning has most of the right information but some incorrect details like category, it’s better to suggest an edit rather than to add the business again.

I do face a similar place issue and am unable to solve it. The place I tried to add a new place could not be added for the reason that a similar place existed. However, the similar place exists far away from the place I tried to add. The similarity is only in the name and the location is different. Please assist me in solving this issue.
