Hello my all Local guide friends from all over the world. At present our road mapping event TRAC 2K23 is ongoing which was initiated by our Connect moderator @SholaIB . In which almost 16K roads are added till now. Anybody can join it by filling this Form .
Many of the local guides have problem in adding roads on Google Maps via Android Mobile. So today I am sharing this post for those who have problem in adding roads via Android Mobile.
The following steps should be done for adding the road via Android Mobile:-
1.Locate an unmapped road on Google Maps:- The first major step is to find an unmapped road on Google Maps. After finding it locate it by making a long press on unmapped road.
4. Select the option Missing Road:- After selecting Add or fix Road you will get so many options regarding adding or fixing roads for adding or editing or removing roads. For adding roads select the option Missing Road.
5. Select Add first road and start Mapping :- After selecting Missing Road click on Add first road and Draw the road in the area which you want and then click next.
6. Confirmation :- After clicking next the final confirmation page will show in which you can also share your feedback regarding road. On clicking send your report will be submitted.
Thank You For Your Useful Information For Us. I always add the roads by opening “Contribute” And then “Edit Map” but from now i will try to follow your tips, till now i didn’t know that we can also add the roads by pin/dropping. I will try this from next time.

It’s amazing that you don’t stop learning in life. I have been adding roads on Google maps for years now but haven’t used this method. Although for a long time now,I have been using the desktop which is faster.
By the way you photos are very nice and clear. Is that a road in India?
Thanks for your guidance on adding roads via Android @LovePathak28. I found this link via a new index by @PrasadVR. I usually do Roads on my desktop, but I’m certainly glad of an alternative for days when I’m away from desktop.
One thing seems missing. Is there a way to see the dotted lines depicting pending roads already drawn? After trying a few on my phone, I had to go back to desktop to see and confirm where they were.
@tony_b , On mobile devices, drawn roads do not appear as dotted lines, as they do on desktop. This visual feature has not yet been implemented for mobile devices.
Thanks for confirming. I almost drew the same road twice. In that case, I’ll continue to do most on desktop. Mobile is perhaps intended for the occasional single road that needs to be done.

I have always wanted to know how to add roads but didn’t realize I could do it in my phone. I thought I had to use the “program” that we were show in 2019.
