I would like to share my experience on ‘Adding a missing road’ on iPhone 13 (iOS device) for beginners in simple steps.
I have put a lot of effort into making this post user friendly for beginners, especially those who might be facing some initial hurdles adding roads. I will be glad if my post helps someone to draw a new road. Kindly post your views and suggestions in comments below.

Open the Google app.

Tap the “Contribute” tab.

Tap on “Update road”
- Select “Missing road” from the list ‘Add or fix a road’:
- Tap on “Add first road”:
- A small circle pin appears on the map:
- Move the map to align the circle with the starting point of the missing road, then tap on plus + button to begin drawing.
- Move the map to the missing road endpoint, then tap on the + button to end the drawing, the new road will appear in blue.
- Swipe up the bottom menu to access ‘Road details’. Here, you can enter a Road name (optional) and choose the Road type from the list. Finally, tap ‘Save’ to confirm.
- Tap “Finished”. The new road will appear in green. Then, tap “Next”.
- A new screen will appear where you can enter ‘Further details (optional)’. Then, tap “Send”
12, An acknowledgement appears. ‘You’ve earned 15 points for helping others!’

Ein sehr guter Beitrag über das Zufügen von Straßen.
Ich weiß soweit bescheid nur ärgere ich mich das man nur gerade Linien zeichnen kann.
Wie kann man einen schönen Bogen oder Kurve zeichnen???)
@Annaelisa Thanks for reading the post and asking. To get started, practice drawing straight lines first. Then, slowly guide the pointer along the curved road and tap the ‘+’ buttons at different points along the curve. These points will help you create smooth curve.

well done and well detailed “Beginner’s Guide” . Thanks Prasad.
As you know I spend my 10 minutes daily (…ehehehe) editing on a desktop version.
Looking at you guide I decided to give the mobile phone a new opportunity and I started editing on it.
After one hour I asked myself how is it possibile to do such an activity on a mobile phone?.
No doubt that I can be done! Looking at your results and also @Lukas_1 achievements I understood that I am doing something wrong.
So I’m asking you and @Lukas_1 why you do not record a 5 minute session of editing on a mobile?
So that I can understand better how to improve my speed.
DID you know if there are any differences between mobile and tablet?

Ciao @MarcoDavoli , I am pleased you like my post and appreciated it. I am like you, comfortable and preferring the desktop for adding roads. Just to clarify, I prefer mobile is an alternative option when desktop is not available. As for tablets, I have never tried so I can’t speak to that experience.

Drawing roads on mobile has just become a little easier (step-wise) thanks to the newest update. Editing itself is the same as always, but they shaved some time off each edit.
Sadly I do not own a tablet so I cant really tell you, if a difference exists.
