How to add an area to google maps?

I want to add some places as an area, zone or district, so many places are within this area/zone. How can I do that?

Open the Map in Smart phone and Select Add missing place in Map option.Fill the Details.The Google Map will publish the place.

I suggest you to search community for similar topics before posting new thread. For example this one has good response.

Since years ago this is impossible for users to add areas to the map. Instead users can report missing area.

Use side menu and then > Send Feedback > Your opinions about Maps

Then write complete description and details about what you want, for adding area it highly recommended to attach links to official documents and Wikipedia page of that area. Then select related parts of the page and send your feedback.

Notice that there is no notification or email in response of your feedback due to large number of reports but Googlers will check yours and make necessary decision in next months.

Notice that areas (cities / villages / zones / etc) should not be added as a point to the map (by using add a missing place) because we have no category for them.
