How my local guide’s journey started? :-
From my childhood I love to explore the world around me & love to know the things in details. Also I had a dream in my childhood, that I will be a great police officer in future & will do great things for my country & will help the needy ones. Basically my thought was I have born in this world as a normal person but I will not go out of the world as a normal person. I will do something in my life by which my country, my world will recognize me for my good work done for everyone & I thought that will be possible only if I will be a Police Officer.
But later stage, I understood If you want to do something good for anyone then you don’t need to be a police officer, actually you don’t need to be a special one. You can start & continue your good work anytime & can start where you are now. Just what you most needed is passion to do something good.
So, I started searching what I can do very well without taking a single rest. Basically I started searching my passion. Finally the time came when I found internet is the thing, I like the most. Then I started searching how I can I do good things by using Internet only, which will make a good impact. After lots of research I found many things I can do to help each & every one for not only my country but for the whole world. By Education I am a mechanical engineer but Internet becomes my passion. I learnt about Blogging, Youtubeing, Local Guides in Google Maps & many more.
And as I previously mentioned, From my childhood I love to explore the world around me & love to know the things in details. That’s how my Local Guides journey started.
The Most Interesting thing I have done as a Local Guide:-
The most interesting thing I’ve done as a Local Guide is add places to Google Maps. By adding these places, I’m able to help business owners and their potential customers. During one of our holiday trip with my Wife @SadhanaBaidya , We found a Local Sandwich Center selling good quality sandwiches. We tried a sandwich & what we found is, The Sandwiches the Local Guy is selling is really delicious & most importantly he is very humble guy & communicating with us with a great respect. I thought to submit a google review, so I have taken some pictures of the shop & made a small video with the shop owner telling what he is basically selling. But in the time of review I can’t find the place in google maps & going to add a missing place but it did not applied.
My wife @SadhanaBaidya tweeted the whole thing to Google Maps expecting a reply what was the issue. Fortunately we got a reply from Google Maps asking about the details. We shared all the details of the place & finally the place Jay Ambey Sandwich Centre is created. Now we are feeling great when we pass the shop reminding me that we are the guys who added it to Google Maps to help the shop owner & others. Its really give us a satisfaction, may be small but at least we have done something good for anyone. Below is the snap of tweets & link of original tweet.

Also recently one of my friend from Raipur planned to visit Kolkata & as my native is Kolkata, India, He asked me to suggest some historic good places to visit in Kolkata. I suggested some good places over phone but after some days he is asking again. So, I created a List in Google Maps about all the historic places of Kolkata & shared the link. He checked the list & really appreciated for my work.
Also here is the some interesting things I have done in Google Maps listed below:-
Al-Lazeez Biryani : Also during one of my trip, I have visited a restaurant for dinner. Shared a detailed review with a photo & it’s been viewed 131,889 times till now!
Laxmi Medical Store : One day when I was returning from my office, I forget to buy some medicines for my wife from where we usually buy medicines. As we are going to be a proud parents in coming months, so I need to buy some important medicines on that day. Then I find a medical store newly opened in my way to home. I have taken all the medicines & I was excited to add this place in Google Maps and when my edit was instantly applied, I was feeling a joy in me & I have shared the whole story with my wife.
Bhilai Engineering Corporation : Previously this was not the place in Google Maps where actually this company is located. Peoples had to roam around and they need to take help of company personnel to reach to that location which is far away from the actual place. I have visited this company for my official work & changed the MAP MARKER to actual place. This will be helpful for all the visitors visiting this place for any professional or personal reason.
Reviewing new places to Google Maps is a great way to make an impact. By this way, I can help a needy one to find what they’re looking for, also can help a small business to grow. There are endless things I always trying to do in the world of Google, which gives me a real satisfaction & these are some of the interesting thing done by me to create an impact on the Google Maps. I am doing this only because I LOVE TO DO THIS & I AM FEELING PROUD FOR THIS!
