As there is complete lock-down here in India and my 8 year old kid birthday fall on 13th April. He was also very excited to celebrate that but we know we can’t make gathering at home due to safety precautions. So first of all we decided that we will not invited even the neighbourhood kids for the safety of them and us too. I tried for cake and some decorative items, which I can buy for the function but all the shops were closed as these items doesn’t fall in essential items list. While searching on map I found a bakery shop in the nearby street (Ahuja Bakery Cake & Pastries https://goo.gl/maps/34afABLzwGw8m4wp9), I called the number and found that they are making home delivery of cakes. I was so much delighted to know that an placed a order for cake and some decorative items. It was a small shop and they delivered the cake on time. Now I also want to order some items to eat and being my kids favorite I searched for pizza online. This time also google map helped me and I found a small pizza shop nearby (PANX PIZZA https://goo.gl/maps/AJd82Eejp6GTdDbz5).
I called the number and here also I found that they are making home delivery. I placed the order and found the stuffs at my door steps within less than a hour time. For both Cake & Pizza I made the online payment to follow the contact less transactions. We made a video call to our relative and celebrated the birthday online with them. My kid was as joyful as in his last birthday. So by the help of google maps not only I was able to celebrate my kids birthday but also helped the small businesses nearby me. Thanks to these business also that they are helping their customers to fulfil their wishes even in this all shutdown situation.
