How Google Moderators treat a comment as a 'Solution"

Hi LGs and all Google Moderators,

How are you?

I have a question , How Google Moderators mark a comment as a “Solution post”

Recently I commented on a post and make the writer fully understand about how start comment mentioning a related person by using symbol ‘@’!

But unfortunately I found my comment had not been marked as a “solution post”

Caption: A screen shot of my comment that I was expecting to be a “solution”

Can anyone tell me about this How it count a post as a “solution”

Thank you in advance for your kind reply here!

Hi @MAHBUB_HYDER

The person who wrote the initial post/question can mark a reply as the solution. You can politely suggest him/her to mark a reply as the solution.

Google moderators sometimes step in and mark a reply as the solution. This is not done systematically.

Cheers

Morten

The subject of the post isis the Abasin river, @MAHBUB_HYDER , not “how to tag a Local Guide in Connect”

So your reply is NOT a solution to that post, but the normal help that a local Guide with more experience is expected to give to another that is new in the community.

To know more about this feature, please read: How do I mark comments as solutions?

Asking to have the reply marked as “the solution” is quite unfair, @MortenCopenhagen , even if some Local Guide is doing that, especially if the reply is not related to the topic, or if the post do not require a solution

Hi @MAHBUB_HYDER ,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

I hope @ErmesT helped you clarify your doubts regarding accepting solutions on Connect. Since I believe his answer is helpful and informative, I will mark it as a solution for a better visibility in case someone else has a similar doubt.

Hi @ErmesT

Thank you so much for your kind explanations and I am satisfied!

Thanks for your helpful post @MAHBUB_HYDER
