I participate in a few virtual meets but the essence of meeting people in person whom you have communicated in virtual places like Google Connect or Google Maps is missing.
The impact of personal meetings is clearly missing in virtual meetings.
I think virtual meetings are best suited for critical business communications and technical knowledge sharing and not for occasions where personal bonding and idea exchange is crucial. For Google Meetups, only real-life meetings are suitable.
So, contrary to the popular opinion, virtual meetups have made little or no impact even during lock-down though it played an important role in keeping local guides connected.

You can choose as per your interest however I can understand how do you feel due to lockdown LG some rapport building would be equally important to avoid isolation feel, as stress buster and avoid negetivity in this locked down

@Anil6969 , Virtual meetups made a huge impact for me as a local guide. I was able to meet lot of amazing LGs through these meetups and made a close relationship with them. Now my LG circle is very big.
Those fun encounters help me to keep my mind off from CORONA and stay positive.
This lockdown has made me get so closer with my Local Guides friends which was used to happened only in the Physical Meetup earlier. Participating in different types of virtual Meetups such as Knowledge Sharing, Antakshari, Casual virtual call, etc are special to me. It helped me get so connected with my Local Guides friends globally and it’s just amazing. Thank you for this post, bhai.
@Anil6969 ji ,what I most liked about these virtual meet up is I am able to meet so many like minded LGs and could make friends across the location and borders and they have become part of my friend circle. So whenever I would be visiting their place I would remember them (Would surely give you a call whenever I visit Goa). And there are many benefits as I am learning new things like photography, cooking as you mentioned and also having fun activities.
