I visited a restaurant the other day and enjoyed it. Yet when I got home, i have an email thanking me for my contribution. It appears that I may have mistakenly made an edit telling Google the place doesn’t exist. Pocket edited I suppose. I tried looking everywhere to cancel that request to no avail. Even left a review to show its currently up and running. yet today, i get the email saying my contribution was approved. So now I’m trying to figure out what to do about it. It still appears on the maps for me for now, but i dont want it removed as it is a good business.
I’m questioning how Google makes these decisions. Cause I have also tried adding places complete with pictures, website, etc, and had it not approved. Or removed places such as a supposed military police Station in the middle of a small amusement park, yet they still continue to show. I also need a way to remove a road. I know of at least one road that was washed out part of it years ago, making Google directions inaccurate as it no longer loops to the other road. I tried submitting an edit for this, but it has not been fixed either. As removing roads or adding park areas don seem to be an option.
But a business with recent reviews, pictures and more, has my mistaken edit published. Google needs a way to reverse contributions and a better system to verify.
