How do you celebrate Eid Mubarak

For Muslim all around the world today is so special because we ends of Ramadhan and celebrate Eid Mubarak 1 Syawal 1441Hijriyah

In my country Indonesia we have much of tradition for celebrate and this happen only in Eid Mubarak day ,so here we go .

  • Everything new , shopping time

Yes , before day of Eid Mubarak celebrate most of us shopping ,hunting new fashion , from toe untill hair . So don’t feel wonder shop ,mall , traditional market etc full capacity ,even during the pandemic on my small town fully crowded in every shopping center . Actually this tradition started because not all people can buy new clothes all times because economy issue but Eid celebrate is one of moment for buying new clothes at least once in a year

  • Food special Eid Mubarak

Ketupat is special food during Eid Mubarak, made of rice and wrapped in coconut leaves

  • Prayer Eid Mubarak, sharing money with small amount with children’s neighbor

In the morning all family member going to mosque or large area for prayer Eid , after prayer Eid we can meet each other with neighbors and don’t forget sharing your money with small amount to their children

  • it’s time to remember about our family that has passed away

caption : Muslim cemetery

After visiting each other with neighbors now time for visiting and pray for family that has passed away in cemetery , and of course remind for us in one day we will die . Life Is Not Forever

Happy Eid Alfitr

As we mark the end of the Ramadan, the 9th month of the Islamic calendar which all Muslims around the world observe a compulsory fasting for the whole month.

Celebration of Eid-al-Fitr comes after the fasting of 29 days and very less often, 30 days. According to Daily Trust News, this years ramadan, the moon wasn’t sighted on the night of the 29th to mark the next day as a new month and also 1st of Shawwal (10th month) and also Eid day.

All preparation for eid were halted as we resumed to fast for the 30th day. I recently placed an order for cake at my most favorite pastry, Z’s Oven here in Kaduna. Cake is ready but eid has been shifted by one day and cake is one day old already.

I learnt that putting cake in the fridge usually let it turn more brittle and tough whereby you losing all the freshly baked taste. A friend from my Snapchat suggested that I could just leave it covered on the table and put under fan or AC and normal room temperature is ok for it and it remains fresh.

Any tips and contributions are welcome… ?

Also, thanks for the tip about not keeping the cake in the fridge @Nuhuu

The photo indeed looks like a yummy cake.

This year’s Eid al-Fitr celebration is very different from the previous year. All Muslims in the world including in Indonesia , experience a different atmosphere, in celebrating Eid al-Fitr. The Covid-19 pandemic did not change the meaning of Eid.

Preparation before Eid prayer .

However, some traditions have changed along with preventing the spread of new corona viruses that cause pandemics. The government asked the people to adjust. Some of the new normalities include: the prohibition of going home, Eid prayers were asked to be held at home, and the practice of friendship is done through online devices.

As a nomads I work and live in the capital, this year not go back to my hometown for the common good. Because of the crisis situation due to the covid 19 pandemic which is still sweeping the world until today.

Not as usual, this morning I did Eid al-Fitr prayers in the the courtyard of the mosque by following strict rules in accordance with the rules of religious leaders such as mandatory wearing masks, bring your own prayer mat, not touching people, not shaking hands and having to keep my distance.

seen peoples did Eid prayer in the courtyard of the mosque.

For all muslim in the world, wishing You A Very Happy Eid Al- Fitr Mubarak 1441 H,
May Allah blessing always upon you and your family .Stay healthy And Stay Safe.

Hi @TusharSuradkar ,

Thanks for your reply!

Eid cake here as well isn’t quite popular. We usually share a particular snack called ‘chin chin’ I’ll write a post about it during this eid.

Wishing you the same too! :pray:t4:

@Nuhuu Beautiful cake !

Eid mubarak my friend

I guess keeping it with the box in the refrigerator will be better as it might get soggy if kept outside for long hours .

Keeping it in ac is fine but limited for 4-5 hours maximum

Try covering n keeping in refrigerator.
